Integrating Yoga into the daily life

...and create awareness in everything you do

True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn't care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.

- Adel Palkhivala

Yoga not only takes place in the save space of the square of the yoga mat. But every day in every moment - if you are ready to let it be integrated into your daily life and create awareness in everything you do.

Many of us see yoga as some kind of physical exercise. But it is much more than that. If we truly want to practice yoga, we will take what we have learned on the mat (and this may have any form, from physical movements, to breathing techniques to any aspect of our soul), and integrate this into our life. Let's try to do this more actively, with more awareness. Stretch once in a while throughout the day. Breath consciously to calm your nerval system. Bend over or even do a headstand in the afternoon, if you start to feel sluggish and tired. Relax your mind and be more patient. Be kind and forgiving towards yourself. Accept yourself as you are. Love yourself. Show compassion. Eat light and healthy... there are so many litte bits and pieces through which Yoga may not only improve your life, but also may have a positive effect on the life of others.

And the most important of it all: Enjoy your life consciously and be happy!
